- 950 Grams Sweet Potatoes (Peeled and cubed)
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- 40 Grams Salted Butter (Cubed)
- Salt and Pepper to season
Bring a large pot of water with ½ teaspoon of salt to a boil. Ensure you have sufficient water as you want the sweet potatoes covered by at least 3cm of water.
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes and then cut them into cubes.
Add the sweet potato cubes to the boiling water and cook for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Drain the sweet potatoes in a colander and place them back into the pot.
Mash the sweet potatoes using a hand masher or your prefered method of mashing.
Add in the cubes of butter and mash until well combined and fluffy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve immediately. It is the yummiest sweet potato mash!
- A food processor can be used in place of a hand masher if you prefer a smoother mash.
- Honey / Maple syrup can be added for an extra touch of sweetness.
