Today I felt to hop on here and encourage those of you who are currently feeling stuck and limited. I got the sense that some of you are walking a journey, where it feels as if you are on a long and winding road that keeps going and it does not look like there is an endpoint in sight. Added to this, it is a path that you never expected to end up on.
The place that you find yourself in currently, feels way out of your comfort zone as the stretching has been intense and so unexpected. It has felt like great opposition coming against you and as if one obstacle after the next, is blocking your path and preventing you from moving forward.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything
James 1: 2-4
I heard the Holy Spirit whisper these words: “My people are encountering a stretching that is leading them into greater expansion.“
Be encouraged, those of you who find yourself in this unexpected place of stretching, that God has got you in the midst of the fiery trial that you are walking through and He will not allow your foot to slip. The trial that you are currently facing, even though it feels as if it is stretching you beyond your limits, never comes to break you but builds you up in new ways. Trials also come to pull out and expose things within us that are not of God and we discover things about ourselves that we did not know was there whether good or bad. These moments often cause us to grow in ways we never thought possible and step into new territory, leading to greater levels of expansion.
Do not quit, keep stepping and stay the course. God will see you through to the other side of this trial as He is your strength and your “all in all” just like this song declares – You are my all in all: Brentwood Baptist Worship.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
Isaiah 54:3
